They Might Be Giants Perform A Unique Cover Version of ‘Bills, Bills, Bills’ By Destiny’s Child

In a recent episode of A.V. Undercover, The members of They Might Be Giants returned to Onion Studios to play a cover of the Destiny’s Child song “Bills, Bills, Bills” in their own unique way and in doing so, fell in love with it.

They enjoyed playing the song so much that they’ve decided to make it part of their 2015 Dial-A-Song series, a revival of their old answering-machine concept updated for a glorious new age. There are many ways to hear this excellent song, but perhaps the most beneficial to you, the TMBG fan, is via a Dial-A-Song subscription, which allows for downloads in addition to streaming. (“Bills, Bills, Bills” will also be available via iTunes at some point in the not too distant future.) They Might Be Giants latest album is the excellent Glean.

After the performance, John Flansburgh and John Linnel talk about learning the song.

In 2011, the band performed an interactive cover of “Tubthumping” by Chumbawamba.
