The Vanilla Tapes is a collection of early demo recordings made by The Clash in mid-1979, ahead of the release of the band’s landmark double-album, London Calling. The tapes, which were named for Vanilla Studios in London, had been missing for years, surfacing as part of the London Calling’s 25th anniversary release.
