Visitors to the Tower Bridge in London can now walk on a glass floor suspended 137 feet above the Thames River. The glass floor panels cover a 36-foot by 6-foot section of the bridge’s West Walkway. Visitors can view the Thames, bridge traffic, and if they’re lucky, the opening of the bridge’s moveable roadways (the bridge opens for river traffic about 850 times per year). A second glass floor will be unveiled in the bridge’s East Walkway on December 1, 2014.
