The Tomatan is a small tomato-headed humanoid robot made by Japanese vegetable juice company Kagome that holds six medium-sized tomatoes to help runners harness the fruit’s fatigue-combating nutrients. The ‘bot sits on a runner’s shoulders, moving a tomato to their head when a lever on the foot is activated. Kagome employee Shigenori Suzuki is set to wear the off-beat backpack during an upcoming 5K fun run.
