‘The New York Times’ Sends Brooklyn Second Graders to Daniel, One of New York City’s Fanciest Restaurants

The New York Times recently arranged to send a half-dozen second graders from PS 295 in Brooklyn to Daniel, an upscale Manhattan restaurant, where they were treated to the $220 seven-course small plate menu. Chef Daniel Boulud promised the kids a “complex” meal, but ultimately discovered that sometimes it’s the “small things” that are best received.
