The Nerdwriter Looks Back on the Impact Craig Ferguson Had on Late-Night Television

Evan “The Nerdwriter” Puschak looks back on the impact Craig Ferguson had on late-night television in the 10 years he hosted The Late Late Show. Puschak narrates over a series of clips from the show to demonstrate the ways in which Ferguson tried to break down the artifice of the late-night format.

Ferguson took over hosting duties on The Late Late Show on January 3, 2005. His final episode of the show aired December 19, 2014 and featured a nod to the final episodes of classic shows like NewhartThe Sopranos, and St. Elsewhere. Ferguson will be replaced by comedian James Corden on March 23, 2015.
