Smarter Every Day host Destin Sandlin solved the mysterious phenomenon of “walking water” droplets with science, a high-speed camera, and astronaut Don Pettit. Pettit studied similar water behavior while on board the International Space Station, and he helped Sandlin recreate and film the droplets in action.
Sandlin first observed the phenomenon in 2011 when he uploaded a video of it asking for possible explanations.
