The Maker Film Festival, A Film Celebration of the Maker Movement in Durango, Colorado

The Maker Film Festival

The first Maker Film Festival, a showcase of films by and about the maker movement, takes place August 9th and 10th, 2014 at the Powerhouse Science Center in Durango, Colorado. The festival will include a screening of the feature length documentary Maker and a talk by artist Johannes Grenzfurthner of Austrian art group Monochrom.

Inspiring innovation, creation and discovery are at the heart of the maker movement and we couldn’t think of a better way to celebrate those endeavors than through Film. The Maker Film Festival sets out to highlight movements that are changing the world through action, showcase technologies that are enabling powerful new modes of expression, and relish in the incredible things that happen when people of all ages are empowered to create.
