The Kinematics Dress is a flowing 3D-printed dress that is made of 2,279 interconnected triangular panels of rigid nylon. Amazingly, the dress is printed as a single piece with no assembly required, though it must be printed in a folded shape to fit inside the printer. The dress was created by Jessica Rosenkrantz and Jesse Louis-Rosenberg of the Nervous System design studio, and was printed at the Shapeways factory in New York City. The Kinematics Dress is now part of the permanent collection of the Museum of Modern Art in New York City.
