Photographer Elias Weiss aka The Dogist has captured the incredible beauty of New York City dogs in a candid photo series that has since grown by leaps and bounds to include many other cities around the country and around the world.
The Dogist was created in October 2013 and is based out of New York City. In the last year, the series has traveled to over 30 cities around the world, including Boston, Philadelphia, Washington DC, New Orleans, Portland, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Vancouver, China, Taiwan, Croatia, London, Cape Cod, Cincinnati, Louisville, St. Louis, Denver, Breckenridge, Kanab (UT), Big Sky, Seattle, Anchorage, Miami, Ithaca, Newport, Providence, Portland (ME), Bar Harbor, Oslo, Amsterdam, Brussels, Paris, Venice, Milan, and more.
Weiss also included much of his work in his 2015 book The Dogist: Photographic Encounters with 1,000 Dogs
