The Hubble Space Telescope has captured a stunning composite image of a section of the Andromeda Galaxy. It is the largest image ever captured by the telescope and covers a 61,000-light-year-long section of our closest neighboring spiral galaxy.
The telescope also recently revisited the iconic “Pillars of Creation” region of the Eagle Nebula to capture a new higher-resolution image of the formation.
