The Hornster, A Bicycle With a Mounted Locomotive Horn, Breaks the Guinness World Record for Loudest Bicycle Horn

The Hornster, a bicycle with a mounted locomotive horn and compressed air tank, has broken the Guinness World Record for the loudest bicycle horn with an impressive 136.2 decibels. The Hornster was built by built by Yannick Read of the UK’s Environmental Transport Association to raise awareness of cyclists in London.

Brace yourself as we come up close to the world’s loudest bicycle horn. Built using a modified freight train horn and powered by a scuba diving tank, as Yannick Read demonstrates, the ‘Hornster’, is able to produce a sound pressure level of 136.2 db(A)!
