The Geotagger’s World Atlas, An Interactive Map That Visualizes Geotagged Flickr Photos

Back in 2011, we posted about Eric Fischer‘s beautiful maps visualizing the location of geotagged Flickr photos. Since then, Fischer has been hard at work creating an interactive, global version of the visualizations. Last week, Fischer launched the Geotagger’s World Atlas, which visualizes more than 10 years of geotagged Flickr photos on an interactive world map. Besides revealing the location of photo opportunities all over the world, the map uncovers some unexpected data, including the routes of scenic ferry lines.
