The Foo Fighters ‘Rickroll’ the Westboro Church Before Their Show in Kansas City

Right before their August 21st Kansas City show, the amazing and increasingly popular Foo Fighters loaded themselves in the back of a blue pickup truck and pulled up in front of the Westboro Baptist Church. The band, which also included a large tattooed man in a tight purple shirt and a brightly colored Speedo, danced around to the classic Rick Astley song “Never Gonna Give You Up” – a live version of the rickroll.

In 2011, the band called for a counter-protest in front of the church with their song “Keepin’ It Clean”.

On Aug. 30th, 2011 Westboro Baptist Church called for a picket of the Foo Fighters show in Kansas City. We had a little something up our sleeve. God Bless America.
