‘The Brother Mike Tapes: 1985’, An Animated Recreation of a Young Man’s Arguments With His Parents

“The Brother Mike Tapes: 1985” is a short animated recreation by artist Rod Perry of New York City music industry employee Mike Cohen’s secretly recorded arguments with his parents made during the 1980s.

At the age of 12, as I was getting yelled out by my dad. I hit record and taped him for the first time. I continued taping him until I was about 28 years old.

The particular argument in the animation, recorded in 1985, deals with Cohen’s cluttered room.
