The five Denmark-based members of The Bottle Boys recently teamed up with talented beatboxer Thor Mikkelsen to perform the fantastic Disney songs “Let It Go” from Frozen, “The Silly Song” from Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, and “Colors of the Wind” from Pocahontas.
For each of the songs we’re playing we’ve chosen a different musical style – turning the songs upside down. So starting out quite calm and true to the original, we give the chorus of “Colors of the Wind” from “Pocahontas” a drum and bass vibe which suits it quite well, we find. :) We then pay homage to “The Silly Song” from “Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs” in an old school hip hop version – the movie being the first Disney feature film from back in 1937 we found this an obvious choice. “Let It Go” from “Frozen” has been requested a lot by you guys and here it finally comes. We’ve given the song a house/dubstep treatment which was great fun to play! And Thor just kills it! :D Hope you like it as much as we do!
