‘The Art of Inspiration’, Snoop Dogg Opens Up About His Painting Process in Collaboration With Happy Socks

Rapper, actor, and painter Snoop Dogg recently collaborated with Swedish sock company Happy Socks to create the film “The Art of Inspiration.” Snoop spoke of how painting has become an outlet that frees him from the confines of his other pursuits.

I think painting for me gives me emotion like no other. I can cry while I’m painting. I can laugh while I’m painting. I can be serious while I’m painting. I don’t have no parameters. When I’m acting, there’s certain things I can’t do. When I’m rapping, there’s certain things I can’t do. There are certain things I won’t do, you know what I am saying? But with the painting, there’s no limit.

While his paintings are to be sold only at a private event benefitting Snoop Youth Football League, fans of his art can purchase the socks he designed for Happy Socks on their website. Three different designs are available, including one referencing his classic “Gin and Juice.” All three designs are also available for purchase as a boxed set.
