Here are my photos from last night’s TechCrunch Meetup #3. TechCrunch is an excellent source of information for emerging web technology. They provide in-depth analysis on the constant stream of new companies and services that seem to appear out of nowhere every other day. If you are trying to keep up with all of this stuff, then TechCrunch should be at the top of your subscription list.
Last night was the 3rd time TechCrunch has organized a meetup and a couple hundred people showed up at their headquaters in suburban Atherton. There were demos of numerous new services, many that have just launched or are about to, including meebo, Sphere, Healthline, Wink, Flock, MeasureMap, Pandora, Zvents, Loomia, Goowy, RealTravel, TailRank, Joyent and OQO/Katrina Health, all of which took place TechCrunch co-founder Michael Arrington’s living room. Midway through the evening, in the backyard lit by a few tiki torches, Dave Winer gave a really good keynote speech entitled “Build to flip the Flickr of evrything”.
