Taxi-Hailing Service Hailo Launches Pilot Program in NYC

Hailo founder and CEO Jay Bregman has announced that the e-hailing service is launching in limited beta in NYC. The Hailo app allows users to hail a licensed yellow cab using their iOS or Android device, and taxi drivers can also use the app to track down and pick up customers. Hailo is already available in London, Dublin, Toronto, Chicago, and Boston, and after the service fully launches in NYC it will be spreading to Tokyo, Washington DC, Cork, Madrid, and Barcelona. The NYC pilot program will be limited to 5,000 drivers and 20,000 founding passengers, and prospective users can sign up at the Hailo website and receive a $10 credit for when the service officially launches in NYC. The app is currently available for download from Google Play and the iTunes App Store.
