‘Suit Up’, A NASA Documentary Narrated by Jon Cryer About 50 Years of Spacewalks

Suit Up is a new documentary that premiered on NASA TV about the last 50 years of spacewalks, or extravehicular activity, that started with cosmonaut Alexey Leonov in 1965. The documentary is narrated by actor Jon Cryer, and it features NASA administrator Charles Bolden and interviews with many astronauts who have completed spacewalks.

While many of the astronauts talk about the exhilaration involved in spacewalking, ESA astronaut Luca Parmitano recounts the terrifying story of a 2013 spacewalk outside the International Space Station that was cut short when the helmet of his spacesuit began filling with water.

Besides looking at the history of spacewalks, Bolden and the astronauts share their thoughts on where they think human spaceflight needs to be headed in the future.
