“Smart Pipe” is an Adult Swim Infomercial about a social media-connected toilet pipe that tracks users’ waste and stores the data in a mysterious floating orb somewhere in the ocean. The video starts as a polished corporate promotional video, but takes a turn to become a bizarre satire of political propaganda questioning government oversight of business.
Adult Swim’s Informercial series features absurd one-off videos modeled after a variety of television genres, and was the original home of the popular “Too Many Cooks” video (previously).
