“Slimy Piece of Worm-Ridden Filth” is a short documentary by London-based filmmaker Jamie Benning that examines the work of Toby Philpott, a puppeteer who helped control the intricate Jabba the Hutt puppet in Star Wars Episode VI: Return of the Jedi.
An awful lot of the background creatures are your classic aliens, which is a human being with a mask on and funny hands. What I loved about Jabba is that he was entirely alien and, hopefully, people aren’t aware of how he’s being operated.
