Skylock is a Bluetooth-enabled bicycle lock that pairs with a smartphone for additional safety features like keyless access. Any user that’s paired their smartphone to the U-lock device can make it automatically unlock when they approach. Skylock also includes a feature that alert the owner if it’s being tampered with, and it asks if the cyclist is okay if it detects a crash. Other smartphones can be added to a network of trusted users for sharing of the lock and bicycle to which it may be currently attached.
