Selected People, Surreal Composite Photos That Manipulate Time

In the ongoing photo series “Selected People,” artist Pelle Cass manipulates time by taking dozens of photos of a location and then selectively compositing elements from the photos (usually people) into a single composite image. The technique allows Cass to pick and choose elements to exaggerate or omit—he can make a tree look like it is covered in squirrels, or make everyone on a street wear the same color. For more on the project, see this Creators Project article & video.
