Scanning a Braille Playboy Into the Internet Archive

A Playboy is Ready

Playboy Braille Edition

Archivist Jason Scott describes the process of scanning a 1992 Braille edition of Playboy magazine into the Internet Archive. The Archive, originally founded in 1996 to preserve websites for posterity, has since expanded to texts, moving images, audio, and software. The Braille Playboy (now available in the Internet Archive) is the product of the National Library Service for the Blind and Physically Handicapped (NLS), which transcribes periodicals, books, and other materials into Braille and audio formats.
