Robot Adam Z1, Building A Robot With the Intelligence of a Three-Year-Old Child

Robot designer and researcher David Hanson is working to create Robot Adam Z1, “the world’s smartest robot” with the intelligence of a three-year-old human child. With help from OpenCog Artificial General Intelligence project founder Ben Goertzel, roboticist Mark Tilden, professor Gino Yu, and a team of programmers, Hanson plans to spend the next year and a half creating a robot that can play with blocks, draw pictures, speak, respond to people with appropriate facial emotions, and make plans and carry them out. The project is currently seeking funding on Indiegogo, and Robot Adam Z1’s software will be free and open source for others to use and improve upon.
