Reserve, An App That Helps Diners Find Restaurants, Reserve Tables, and Pay for the Meal

Reserve is a new app currently in beta that helps diners find restaurants, reserve tables, and handle paying for the meal. In an interview with Google Ventures, CEO Greg Hong calls it, “a digital concierge in your pocket.” Users enter the number of people who will be dining and when they’d like to eat. Reserve then displays a list of partner restaurants. When the user selects a restaurant, Reserve works to make a reservation. After the meal the bill is paid automatically through the app including an adjustable tip and a five dollar concierge fee.

The beta version of Reserve is currently only available in New York, Los Angeles, and Boston. Users who sign up using the app will be invited in waves. Reserve is available now in the iTunes App Store. Potential users interested in an Android version of Reserve can sign up to be alerted when it becomes available.
