Realistic Mechanized Sculptures of Characters From the ‘Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles’ at Monsterpalooza

Norman Chan of Tested ventured to yet another impressive display at the Monsterpalooza convention (previously) in Burbank, California, where he scoped out an impressive collection of realistic mechanized sculptures, built by the team of creatives at Figment Foundry, which portrayed characters from the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles franchise. More photos of the team of turtles and Master Splinter are available to view on the Figment Foundry Facebook page.

We weren’t fond of the designs for the most recent Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie, but this TMNT imagining we found at this year’s Monsterpalooza were awesome. Originally designed and fabricated as costumes, these mechanized sculpts are the work of an artists collective whose members work in special effects and animatronics. These are the Ninja Turtles we’d like to see on screen!
