Rambo, an octopus living at the Kelly Tarlton’s Sea Life Aquarium in Auckland, New Zealand, has been trained to photograph visitors using a camera mounted inside his tank. Although a video posted by Sony New Zealand claims Rambo is the “world’s first octopus photographer,” an octopus at Middlebury College stole a photographer’s camera earlier this year and used it to take a series of pictures.
One difference between the two animals is that while the Middlebury octopus simply stole a camera temporarily, Rambo routinely photographs guests for the price of two dollars. It is unclear what he does with the money.
