The Google I/O keynote presentation by Google’s Social Chief Vic Gundotra was interrupted by Sergey Brin who live-announced Google’s Project Glass team’s arrival to the first day of the conference by skydiving (video). They all jumped out of a blimp wearing Project Glass units and landed on the roof of San Francisco’s Moscone Center on the morning of June 27, 2012. In the weeks prior to this stunt, the team demo’d Project Glass by skydiving and recording the footage through the augmented reality glasses. The entire event is currently being broadcast live.
