European Tour has released “Rory vs the Robot,” a 4-minute video showing professional golfer Rory McIlroy compete against a mouthy robot named Jeff in a unique European Tour challenge. The challenge consists of both Rory and Jeff the robot trying to hit golf balls into various washing machines that are spread out at a driving range. “When Rory McIlroy was nine, he appeared on the Kelly show and chipped a ball into a washing machine.”
Rory McIlroy has beaten just about every human on the planet so for the latest European Tour challenge he’s up against a robot. Or a Golf Laboratory Computer Controlled Hitting Machine to be precise.
