Pop-Up Holograms That Warn Non-Disabled Drivers Not to Park in Spots Reserved for Disabled People

Earlier this year, Dislife, a disabled-rights advocacy organization in Russia, had advertising agency Bird Strategy put together a brilliant campaign that highlighted the far too prevalent issue of non-disabled people taking parking spots reserved for disabled persons. In order to prevent this inexcusable behavior from continuing, they installed cameras at a Moscow mall to project holograms of real people with disabilities that would pop-up and warn the driver not to park if they didn’t have the required documentation in the window.

More than 30% of the drivers in Russia take disabled parking spaces without caring about the signs on the ground. Dislife, a Russian non-profit organisation, came up with a powerful campaign to stop this inconsiderate behaviour. They installed projections of a real disabled person that popped up every time a non-disabled driver tried to park in their space.
