Points in Space, Combo Time-Lapse & Stop Motion Animation Shot on the Streets of Melbourne

“Points in Space” is a combination time-lapse and stop motion animation that was shot on the streets of Melbourne by Benjamin Ducroz. The film was part of the 2011 Melbourne Fringe Festival. To see how it was made, watch this making-of video:

using 1050 individual a0 sized frames with long exposure photography, points in space presents melbournes cbd’s cycles of repetition by responding to the flow of traffic at key intersections. bodies join, weld and converge into swarming masses of movement.
