Composer and pianist Sonya Belousova, with the help of filmmaker Tom Grey, creates and performs a series of custom arrangements for video game theme songs without preparation in a video by Player Piano. The video was created specifically as part of their current Indiegogo crowdfunding campaign.
Belousova listens to themes from video games like Chrono Cross and Halo before recreating them via custom piano arrangements on the spot. Of the group, it appears that the only song she’d played before was the specific one from BioShock.
