Physical GIFs, Web Animations Brought to Life Using Zoetropes That Play Laser Cut Frames

The antique animation toy, the zoetrope, has been rescued from obscurity for a noble cause: to bring animated GIFs to the physical realm. Physical GIFs are zoetropes that play laser cut frames from animated GIFs. New York artists Greg Borenstein and Scott Wayne Indiana are preparing Physical GIFs for production, and are raising funds for the project on Kickstarter.
