With the news of Leonard Nimoy‘s passing this past Friday, The Canadian Design Resource took it into their own hands to tweet an image of a Canadian five-dollar banknote with a drawing of Spock’s face over top of Canada’s seventh prime minister, Sir Wilfrid Laurier. Facebook communities and groups such as Spocking Fives and Spock Your Fives feature a great collection of banknotes that have been “Spocked” by their members.

Although it is illegal to deface the bill, they are still acceptable to use for commercial purchases.
