The latest episode of the web series PBS Space Time features host Gabe Perez-Giz asking, “Is it irrational to believe in aliens?” Perez-Giz also attempts to answer his own question by explaining simplified arguments for and against the belief that intelligent life is probable elsewhere in the Universe. Perez-Giz also explains the Drake equation as well as the Fermi paradox, and how they apply to the argument.
