A photo I shot of Om Malik (founder of GigaOM) and Michael Arrington (founder of TechCrunch) is featured in today’s edition USA Today (both print and online). The article, “Tech blogs go from hobbies to businesses” written by Michelle Kessler, is about how Om and Mike, both good friends, were able to turn their blogging side projects into full-time businesses.
I shot the photo at Om’s Business 2.0 going away party hosted by Business 2.0 editor Josh Quittner at Hotel Vitale last July. The event celebrated Om as he launched GigaOM as a full time enterprise.
