Director Oliver Stone‘s upcoming film Snowden (previously) is scheduled to arrive in theaters on Christmas Day 2015, and will star Joseph Gordon-Levitt as NSA whistleblower Edward Snowden, along with fellow cast members Timothy Olyphant, Rhys Ifans and Joely Richardson. The film, which has begun shooting in Munich, is based on the book The Snowden Files: The Inside Story of the World’s Most Wanted Man.
