Norwegian Woman Believes That She Is a Cat Who Was Mistakenly Born Into a Human Body

In her interview series focusing on unusual people, NRK P3 Verdens Rikeste Land reporter Silje Ese spoke with Nano, a 20-year old woman who is certain that she was born into entirely the wrong species. Citing her disdain for dogs, her ability to see well at night and her excellent hearing, Nano believes she should have been born as a cat instead.

Sometimes I hiss when meeting dogs on the street. It’s because of their behavior and my instinct reacts by hissing. …Born in the wrong species. I hate water, water is like the instinct you get to wash yourself. In the face and stuff. It’s obvious I’m a cat when I start purring and meowing. …My psychologist told me I could grow out of it, but I doubt it.

The Huffington Post evidently cast more than a shadow of disbelief on the story, something which Ese firmly denied.
