Twenty-five years after ending its initial two season run on ABC, beloved off-kilter drama Twin Peaks will return to television. A nine episode mini-series directed by David Lynch will debut on Showtime in 2016. Lynch announced the return of the series with a friendly tweet.

The return makes good on fictional murder victim Laura Palmer’s final episode promise to return in 25 years.
