Researchers at Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) have published a paper claiming that by analyzing a person’s keystrokes, they can learn a lot of information about a person’s motor function. Such analysis could someday diagnose a case of Parkinson’s disease years earlier than current methods.
The team believes that by comparing how a person types over time, a system could detect some of the earliest signs of the disease much earlier than when more obvious symptoms begin to appear.
