Musician Performs a Cover of Blue Öyster Cult’s Song ‘(Don’t Fear) The Reaper’ on an iPad Using Virtual Instruments

Winnipeg, Canada-based guitarist Steve Onotera (a.k.a. “samuraiguitarist“) performs a cover of the 1976 song “(Don’t Fear) The Reaper” by Blue Öyster Cult on an iPad using virtual instruments in a recent video. Of course, Onotera made sure to add in plenty of cowbell.

According to Doug McArthur, some of the apps that Onotera used in his cover were “GarageBand (drums, organ, guitar & bass), iVoxel (vocals), More Cowbell! (glockenspiel, cowbell and guiro), and Awesome Xylophone (xylophone)”.

Everything you hear was created on an iPad, I hope there’s enough cowbell for you!
