Musician in Paris Plays a Heartbreakingly Poignant Version of ‘Imagine’ on a Piano He Brought With Him

A talented musician in Paris named Davide Martello used his bicycle to transport a peace sign emblazoned piano to a sidewalk very close to the Bataclan Theater, the site of the bloodiest attack on the city. Martello then sat down in front of the instrument and without a word, began to play a heartbreakingly poignant cover of “Imagine” by John Lennon for a crowd of shellshocked people, who weren’t immediately sure of what was happening at the time.

Merveilleux.

He pulled his piano with a bike up to rue Richard Lenoir ten meters from the Bataclan, the theater last night was the scene of the bloodiest terrorist attacks in Paris. Then he began to play the notes of ‘Imagine’ by John Lennon.
