Microsoft demonstrated their unbelievable augmented reality Hololens technology with the robot invasion game Project X-Ray during their October 6, 2015 keynote event. In the demonstration, the player on stage uses a wearable holographic gauntlet to battle incoming robots that break through walls and move around furniture.
Microsoft is now taking applications for the Development Edition of the Hololens to give developers an early chance to build on the technology, but not consumer-level release date has been set.
