In 2013, Nick Lane of Phoenix, Arizona sat in his black 2007 Kia Rio with a thermometer in hand to measure how incredibly warm that it gets inside on a hot day. The 107 degree weather outside temperature ended up translating to 192 degrees in his car, with the thermometer on the dash.
