Man Who Lost an Amazing 300 Pounds in 15 Months Inspires a Well-Known Vlogger to Try to Do the Same

Over the course of the past year-and-a-half, a tenacious man named Jared who in his words,”finally got tired of being fat and unhealthy“, lost an amazing 300 pounds through making a change in both his eating habits and his exercise routines. After losing this weight, Jared read aloud a letter that he had written to himself when he was heavier, his voice breaking emotionally at times.

I finally got tired of being fat and unhealthy. It’s hard to say exactly what my breaking point was. It could have been when I passed the five hundred pound mark, but that was a year ago. Maybe it was buying pants and the largest size carried by the local fat guy clothing store. My birthday this year is another possibility, turning 40 is cause for reflection. It does bother me that my performance at work has deteriorated. I’m too tired and worn out to sit in front of a computer for eight hours. I imagine that maybe it’s all of those reasons and more. Maybe doesn’t matter. What’s important now is that I’m ready to turn it around. This may be dangerous for me to say what I’m saying because the excitement I feel right now could very well be the same excitement that countless others felt when starting a new fitness regime, only to later lose that excitement and fail in their goals.

Vlogger Steven Williams aka Boogie2988, who has close to 3 million subscribers on his YouTube channel, posted an honest and emotional response to Jared’s video, finding a great deal of inspiration there.

A lot of you say that I inspire you and I think that’s amazing but there’s somebody out there who inspires me and his name is Diamond Dallas Page. For those of you who don’t know, about a year and a half ago Dallas came and visited me in my home and he gave me an exercise regimen that got me out of my bed and up and moving again and able to walk again. Not only that but he gave me a diet plan that has helped me lose about 25 pounds and keep it off. And sure I’ve got a lot more weight to lose but this is a really helped. …About two weeks ago I told Dallas and bad news I got from my bariatric surgeon who said that if I don’t lose about a hundred pounds, Then they’re not going to be able to do weight loss surgery for me. My doctor feels that that’s the only way out and I told Dallas I felt like I couldn’t do it, I felt like it would be impossible, I felt like I was going to die fat and there was nothing I could do about it and he told me that it’s never too late. Two days ago I checked my texts and I had a text from Dallas it was simply a YouTube link.
