On June 22, 2013 Eric Strand ran the 26.2-mile course of the Grandma’s Marathon in Duluth, Minnesota twice, for a grand total of 52.4 miles. To accomplish the feat he started at the finish line at 3 AM and ran the course in reverse. When the marathon officially started, he ran the course again from start to finish. Strand is training for the Leadville Trail 100 Run, a 100-mile race in the Colorado Rockies that takes place in August.
