Serbian photographer Dusan Stojancevic has captured the stark beauty of iconic landmarks from all over the world as reflected in fat drops of water using a macro lens. The resulting images that Stojancevic calls “microcosmos” are simultaneously hard and soft with a soothing sense of the surreal that’s achieved without the use of photo manipulation. The photographer spoke with PetaPixel about these images.
I wanted to do something different in macro photography at that time, when I started these photos 15 years ago. …It was on film and it was a long process. Now, in the digital era, it’s much faster. …They have their flaws, but it looks more artistic to me that way …not like Photoshopped art
