Back in 2014 we posted about a thoroughly legible redesign of a parking sign by New York City-based designer Nikki Sylianteng. The elegant grid-style sign, which resembles Google Calendar more than the text-based puzzles it was designed to replace, was recently adopted by the City of Los Angeles in a six-month pilot program. The program launched last week with the unveiling of 100 signs in downtown Los Angeles. Sylianteng is following developments in Los Angeles on her parking sign project blog, To Park or Not to Park.
